Cosmetic dentist Dr. Kent Dodson, DDS is a North Platte, Nebraska native who has lived in Lincoln, Nebraska since 1983. He is married with 3 sons. After graduation from high school in 1979, Dr. Dodson attended Creighton University in Omaha receiving his Bachelor of Science in May 1983. He then attended the University of Nebraska- Lincoln College of Dentistry; graduating in May 1987 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. After a one year General Practice Residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Dr. Dodson returned to Lincoln in June 1988 to start his private practice career. He worked as an associate dentist for one year, then he bought Adams Dental Center in June 1989. Dr. Dodson has finished all 7 core classes at the Las Vegas Institute as of May 2009, and passed the LVI fellowship exam at that date, making him one of only approximately 1000 dentists worldwide to have done so.
In December of 1999 the construction of Dr. Dodson's new facility was completed. He moved his practice into the new facility on Northwoods Drive in January 2000. He incorporated new dental technology throughout his new office, including chairside computers, televisions in the operatories, Caesey educational DVD software, digital X-rays, diagnodent laser cavity detection, Cerec CAD/CAM porcelain milling equipment, and a soft tissue laser.
Since graduation from dental school, Dr. Kent Dodson, DDS has been committed to extensive study and has taken well over 3000 hours of continuing education. This allows him to provide the latest and greatest new techniques in dentistry for his patients. He is currently studying at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute under world renowned Dr. Bill Dickerson.
Dr. Dodson and his smile team have been together for an extended time. One dental assistant has been with him for over 17 years, with the hygienist and front desk averaging approximately 5 years of employment. He feels a long term team is important to consistently provide his patients with the quality of care they deserve.
