Custom Trays
Opalescence custom trays are created by Dr. Dodson to fit your individual teeth. In this way, the Opalescence gel can fit snuggly against your teeth as you where the tray. The gel works the same way in the trays as it does when it is placed on your teeth in Dr. Dodson's office. While the individual results may vary, most patients will wear the trays for a week to ten days for an hour a day. They may also be worn overnight as you sleep.
Opalescence Over-the-Counter
Opalescence Treswhite may be purchased over the counter. It uses trays that are preloaded with the whitening gel. In addition to a high percentage of hydrogen peroxide, the gel contains potassium nitrate and fluoride. This helps to fight cavities and remineralizes the teeth making them stronger. The tray is worn for one hour a day and you will see results almost immediately.
